The excretory System is The removal of excess waste materials from the body.
Organs involved are: the skin, the lungs the liver and the Kidneys.
URINARY SYSTEM:
This involves the removal of waste products from blood and eliminate them from the body.

CHARACTERISTICS OF URINARY SYSTEM; Urinary System is composed of:
1. Two Kidneys: These are organs that filters waste materials from the blood. They balance body fluids and form Urine.
2. Two ureters: these are tube that carry urine from the Kidneys to the bladder for storage.
3. Urinary bladder: this is the Storage part of urine, it receives urine from the ureters and stores it.
4. The Sphincter muscle. This is the part that holds and open to allow for urine passage. It is responsible for voluntary and involuntary movement of urine from the bladder to the urethra.
5. The Urethra this is the passage for urine. It carries Urine from the bladder to the out side of the body for elimination.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS OF URINARY SYSTEM;
Removal of waste.
Hormonal production.
Acid base balance.
THE NEPHRONS: This is the functional unit of the kidney. it fillers blood within the kidney and on its own can form urine.
About one(i) million nephrons in the Kidney and about 1700 liters of blood is filtered every day.
FUNCTIONS OF THE PARTS OF THE NEPHRON
Some of functions nephron parts include;
1. Glomerulus: this filters water and dissolved substances from blood.
2. Bowman’s capsule; This is the Starting point of tubular components of the nephron, it transport glomerular filtrate to the proximal convoluted tubule (PCT)
3.Proximal convoluted tubule (PCT): This is where reabsorption happens (occur), it includes reabsorption of salts, uric acid, glucose, water and urea.
4. Loop of Henle: this also Selectively reabsorb Salts, water and urea.
5. The distal convoluted tubule (DTC); this is also involved in selective reabsorption of Salts, water and urea.
6. Collecting duct; this is the end point of a nephron. It reabsorbs water via osmosis with the Control of antidiabetic hormone AD-H.
HOW URINE IS FORMED
Blood filtration,
Tubular Re-absorption and
Tubular secretion.
Conclusion, drink enough water improves our kidneys functions thus, increase its life span and for the systems to work well in our body, water must be supplied.
